F.A.Q

  • How many people are in the class?
    Usually between 6-12 students.
  • How many instructors are in the class?
In order to give every student the help and attention they require, we have additional instructors at the class.
  • Where is the Permanent Makeup class located?
Englewood, NJ. We also provide a complimentary shuttle for the students from our Manhattan 5th Avenue location to our Englewood University.
  • Where can I sign up for the Permanent Makeup course?
Please text us at 9177088870 or email at [email protected] to move forward with the payment.
  • How much does it cost?
The full price of the Permanent Makeup class is $4500. This covers everything you need — including a shuttle to the university, breakfast, and lunch.
  • Are there any prerequisites to attend the class?
You will need to pass an online Bloodborne Pathogens Certification in order to work on live models. This will take you 30mins-1hr, and prepare you to be confidently equipped to work on live models. If you choose to move forward, one of our representatives will send you a link where you can complete the certification.
  • Do you offer loans/finance/payment plans?
Although we do not provide loans and other financing options, we can offer you a tiered payment plan. We have classes that are scheduled monthly; so you can register for a class that is a few months away and begin making your payment steps. As soon as the full payment has been completed, you’re then able to take the class.
  • How many hours is the class?
    10am-6pm daily.
  • Is a tattoo license required to perform Permanent Makeup?
Yes, some states require a tattoo license in order to perform Permanent Makeup. Please visit the relevant Department of Health website of your state for more detailed information. Note: A tattoo license is NOT required to attend the Permanent Makeup class.
  • Do you provide the Permanent Makeup machine?
Yes, we provide you with 5 different machines options so that you can choose the one that works best for you. The machines are only provided during the class; you will have to purchase your own machine after the class.
  • Can I work on clients right after the class?
Yes, if you feel comfortable you can start taking clients right after the class; or you can practice some more on artificial skin.
  • How can I find my clients/models?
During the class, we will dedicate an entire block to marketing. You will learn exactly how to get clients/models, as well as set up promotions and targets.
  • Can I work at the Eye Design salon after completing your class?
If you are a promising and talented student, you will surely be noticed! As far as getting the job — it depends on whether we are hiring at that moment.
  • Which class should I start with: Microblading or Permanent Makeup?
It doesn’t really matter where you start as both techniques are essential for a brow artist. Also, these techniques are very different, so you will need to learn them separately.
  • Is previous experience required in order to take the course?
No, our classes are built on basic fundamental knowledge. You will start from the beginning, and will slowly emerge into practice.
  • If I am already a Permanent Makeup professional, will this class still be useful for me?
Yes! Nadia teaches her own custom techniques and shares her personal experience. No matter if you are a professional or a beginner, you will definitely find the course helpful in addition to learning brand new techniques.
  • I have found cheaper classes elsewhere — why should I choose Eye Design?
All of our classes are custom developed and taught exclusively by Nadia Afanaseva, the leading professional in the Permanent Makeup and Lash Extensions industry. We focus on real practice more than any other school out there. At the class you will receive only the highest quality products, service, and knowledge.
  • What Permanent Brow techniques will I learn?
You will learn multiple, innovative techniques – not old ones! – of Permanent Makeup. For example: Powder/Ombre techniques
  • What techniques of Permanent Lips Makeup will I learn?
    Soft-shaded and defined techniques.
  • What techniques of Permanent Eyeliner Makeup will I learn?
Soft-shaded, classic eyeliner, lash line enhancement.
